1. Who we are
Askerium is a web service that allows you to analyze data files using artificial intelligence. The service is accessible at askerium.com.

2. Your files stay in your browser
Files you upload to Askerium are processed entirely in your browser (client-side). They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We only send the AI your file's schema, a small sample (max 20 rows), and aggregate statistics — never your full dataset.
3. Data we collect
We collect the following information:
- Email address (if you register or use magic link)
- Authentication data via OAuth providers (Google, GitHub)
- Anonymous usage data (pages visited, actions taken) via Google Analytics
- Technical error logs via Sentry
- IP address for rate limiting AI requests
4. How we use your data
- Provide and improve the service
- Authenticate your account
- Prevent abuse and ensure security
- Analyze product usage in anonymous form
We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
5. Cookies and tracking
We use technically necessary cookies for the service to function (authentication). We use Google Analytics for analytics with IP anonymization. We do not use commercial profiling cookies.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing
- Data portability

7. Data retention
Account data is retained as long as the account is active. IP addresses used for rate limiting are deleted within 2 hours. You can request account deletion at any time.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
